Abstract
M ALIGNANT melanoma is the most virulent of all known tumors and its appearance is the sign of death unless radical surgery is instituted in the early phase of its development. A study of this disease leads into many helds of investigation, including the morphology and wide distribution of dendritic cells, the subject of pigment formation in the animal kingdom, the response of melanohlasts in different environments including the bodies of hybrid animals; the development and spread of the disease in man and the results achieved by clifferent methods of treatment.
