Abstract
The literature on mosquito larvae as intermediate hosts of larval Trematodes is scanty. Porter (1938) states that it is well known that anopheline larvae act as intermediate hosts for Xiphidiocercaria, but she cites no instances. Harper (1929) experimentally infected twenty-five larvae of Culex pipiens with the Xiphidiocercaria, X.I., whilst Eckstein (1922) and Ruge (1903) record finding the encysted stage in mosquito larvae.
