Abstract

We have observed vortex motion in superconducting networks with relatively large holes. Vortices penetrate the network along the diagonal direction more easily than the parallel direction. This phenomenon is also confirmed in NbTiN networks as well as Nb networks. The mechanism for the diagonal vortex penetration is discussed on the basis of the enhancement of flux density near the vertices of square holes.
