Abstract

AbstractRecent magnetotransport experiments have revealed an anomalous behavior in the quantum Hall (QH) resistance in a bilayer counterflow geometry that it vanishes instead of developing a Hall plateau in the QH regime. This anomalous resistance is explained as a result of the interlayer phase coherence developed spontaneously in the bilayer QH system. We also discuss the mechanism of another anomalous QH resistance discovered in a drag experiment. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
