Abstract

We demonstrate that the title compound (TTM-TTP)I3 with a highly one-dimensional half-filled band, which shows a metal-insulator (MI) transition around TMI=120 K, is metallized by application of extremely high pressure (P>7 GPa) using the cubic anvil apparatus. Above 5.7 GPa, the metallic behavior is described by {\(\rho \sim T^\alpha \)} with α ∼ 0.3 which is much smaller than the expected value of Fermi liquid theory, α=2. Based on these findings, the driving force of the MI transition is discussed.
