Abstract

This paper investigates the behaviors of anomalous magnetic fields and loss in electrical steel sheet (ESS) with respect to magnetic flux density and frequency. For this, anomalous magnetic fields and loss are extracted from measured magnetic fields and loss by excluding static hysteresis and classical eddy current fields and losses. From the anomalous magnetic fields, a generalized Chua-type model is adopted to simulate the anomalous magnetic fields and loss for sinusoidal <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$B$</tex> -waveforms. The algorithm is applied to Non-oriented, Highly Grain-oriented and Magnetic domain refined highly Grain-oriented electrical steel sheets.
