Abstract

presumably does not vary with temperature unless a change in mechanism occurs. The possibility to investigate electro- chemical reactions in a wide temperature range using the FREECE technique was demonstrated in a series of papers.&1° This implies performing measurements in an electrolyte of stoichiometric composition, e.g. HC10~5.5H20, in its liquid and frozen state. It is the aim of this work to investigate oxygen evolution kinetics on RuO2 and Pt electrodes as a function of temperature in HClOq5.5H20.
