Abstract

Partial substitution of Ca with Sr in high permittivity Ca1−xSrxCu3Ti4O12 ceramics can lead to an anomalous increase in intrinsic bulk dielectric permittivity. The similar electron configuration of Ca and Sr excludes electronic structure variations as a source of this permittivity increase, and thus an alternative mechanism must exist.
