Abstract

Absolute reflectivities were determined for Mossbauer radiation in pure nuclear Bragg reflections of a nearly perfect 57FeBO3 single crystal. The measured anomalous high reflectivities reached values of 25-35%. The results agree with the dynamical theory for resonance diffraction, where anomalous high reflectivities are explained as a consequence of the suppression effect.
