Abstract
The mechanism of production of electrons with an “anomalous” energy in the spectrum of high-power nanosecond electron bunches is investigated. Spherically symmetric propagation of the bunch between spherical electrodes in vacuum diodes with a large potential difference is considered. The results are compared with the earlier results on 1D propagation of the bunch between spherical electrodes.
