Abstract

Results are presented of the investigation of nonequilibrium diffusion phase transformations in steels and alloys upon severe cold deformation (processes of dissolution of intermetallic compounds, carbides, nitrides, and oxides in the steel matrix), which are explained by the generation and migration of numerous dislocations and point defects (vacancies and interstitial atoms) of deformation origin.
