Abstract
Squeezed vacuum-induced transitions between Floquet states of multilevel atoms under a driving field that is periodic in time are investigated. The effective reduction of transition rates due to squeezing effects is established and the consequences for a three-level atom are studied. We find that the populations of three-level atom states have anomalous behavior due to reduction of the transition rate between definite Floquest states. In particular they show complete population inversion.
