Abstract
In a series of 20 patients with tetralogy of Fallot and some other complicated congenital heart defects, anomalies in derivatives from the visceral arches were recorded. A high frequency of dental malocclusion and external ear anomalies was found. The study also indicated an increased activity of dental caries. All the patients had postural defects, and some aspects of these findings are discussed. The significance of the combination of these defects in relation to teratology and embryo-pathology in general should be borne in mind.
