Abstract

The kinetics of lithium transport across the interface formed by melting lithium on to a lithium nitride sinter has been studied using a linear potential sweep technique. The current-voltage curve obtained was corrected for the ohmic resistance obtained from the high-frequency intercept of the complex plane impedance diagram measured at E=0 mV (vs. a Li/Li + reference electrode). A model which allows the calculation of the product of concentration and diffusion coefficient to be calculated is proposed to account for the observed behaviour.
