Abstract

Abstract Anodic halogenation of 3-substituted sydnones was investigated using a platinum electrode in methanol containing halide ions from a synthetic aspect. The chlorination as well as the bromination did take place at the 4-position of sydnones in high yields rather than those in chemical procedures, while the fluorination and the iodination were unsuccessful.
