Abstract

Liquid metals with superior mechanical properties and low reduction potentials are a class of promising metal anodes for high-energy-density batteries, that are intrinsically dendrite-free and conformal at various interfaces. Designs based on liquid metals promise intermittent renewable energy resources as power sources for flexible electronics, electric automobiles, and even grid-scale energy-storage systems, as discussed by Guihua Yu and co-workers in article number 2100052.
