Abstract

Dystrophic calcinosis curls occurs in the heels of newborns subjected to repeated heel sticks, l in infants who have received calcium gluconate infusions, 24 and in children who have undergone electroencephalography with calcium chloride-containing paste on abraded skin. 5 The usual appearance is of scattered yellow-white papules and nodules. Radiologic examination confirms the presence of amorphous calcification. We report annular dystrophic calcinosis cutis in an infant who had received both calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate intravenously.
