Abstract
This session will highlight several key activities over the last 12 months that are important in the arena of Geriatric Mental Health Public Policy and Advocacy. We will highlight one particular issue related to CMS and legislative agendas targeted at restricting the use of antipsychotics in nursing homes. Key points of discussion will focus on current and past activities in pushing back against these efforts and educating the audience on ways in which they can be advocates in their own local, state and national jurisdictions. We will also open the floor to an extended Q&A around topics that the audience would like to see us focus on in the coming year.
