Abstract

Parameters of the refraction of radio waves over the Roshydromet observation points in the Baikal zone (Tunka, Khamar-Daban, Babushkin, Ust-Barguzin, and Nizhneangarsk) are considered. The values of temperature and relative humidity of air at different altitude levels of atmospheric pressure were determined using the ATOVS complex for satellite sounding of the atmosphere by spacecraft of the NOAA series, as well as data from meteorological radiosonde launches at Ust-Barguzin. The calculated values of the total refraction angle for the apparent zenith angles are given. Due to the high correlation between variations in the angle of refraction and the surface value of the refractive index, the possibility of modeling the annual change in the angle of tropospheric refraction based on meteorological data is shown. The annual dependences of the angle of total refraction are calculated for a fixed value of the apparent zenith angle and the height of the radiation source for observation points located in the Baikal zone.
