Abstract
The Hojjat Adeli Award for Innovation in Computing, established by Wiley in 2010, is awarded annually to the most innovative paper published in the previous volume/year or the most innovative single author, normally someone who has published more than one paper in the previous three years. It includes a plaque and a cash reward of $1,000. We are pleased to announce that the 2013 award goes to B. Shafei, A. Alipour, and M. Shinozuka (2013), “A Stochastic Computational Framework to Investigate the Initial Stage of Corrosion in Reinforced Concrete Superstructures,” Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, 28:7, pp. 482–494. The authors are at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Columbia University.
