Abstract
Abstract The XIV Congress of the International Society of Blood Transfusion will be held in Helsinki, Finland, July 27 to August 1, 1975. Plenary Sessions and Special Symposia of interest to immunologists include: Immunogenetics, Immune Responses, and Risks of Blood Transfusion (Hepatitis HB Antigens and HL-A Antigens). The deadline for registration of papers is March 1, 1975 and for submission of Abstracts, May 1, 1975. Free papers falling within the range of the same topics may be incorporated into the Special Symposia at the discretion of the Committee. Among suggested topics are the following: Human genetic markers in anthropology.Plasma protein deficiencies and disease.The complement systemMediators in cellular immunity.Rh prophylaxis.Immunoglobulins in the treatment of infectious disease.Mechanisms of red cell destruction.Subtypes of HBAg.Activation of coagulation, plasma kinin, and complement systems in stored blood.
