Abstract
We warmly congratulate Prof. William S.Y-Wang, the Founding Editor of the Journal of Chinese Linguistics, on his recent conferment of an honorary degree from the University of Chicago, which has long been an incubator of great minds and pioneering linguists including Edward Sapir, Leonard Bloomfield and Fang Kui Li.
