Abstract

In conclusion, the annihilation of deuterium contains additional information compared to protonium annihilation. The angular distribution of the relative momentum of the mesons compared to the spectator nucleon momentum is essential. Absolute annihilation threshold helicity amplitudes as well as their relative phases can in principle be determined by experiments.
