Abstract

Oxygen control is a very important factor to cuprate superconductors from the standpoint of T c control. We investigate high oxygen pressure annealing effects on (Cu,C)Ba 2Ca 2Cu 3O x superconductors [(Cu,C)-1223] as one method of oxygen control. When an oxygen partial pressure was 1 MPa, (Cu,C)-1223 was decomposed at 450 °C. Its oxygen absorption rate under high oxygen pressure of 1 MPa was twice as fast as that of 1 atm O 2 flow below 400 °C.
