Abstract

Bu calismada, bes alti yas grubunda cocugu olan anne babalara, cocuklarin gelisim alanlari, davranis ozellikleri, anne babanin cocuga yonelik tutum ve davranislari ile anne baba cocuk iletisimi konularinda egitim verilerek uygulanan egitim programinin anne babalarin tutum ve davranislarina etkisinin incelenmesi amaclanmistir. Arastirmanin evrenini 2008-2009 egitim ogretim yilinda Adana il merkezinde bulunan Milli Egitim Bakanligi’na bagli bagimsiz anaokullarina devam eden, bes-alti yas grubundaki cocuklarin anne babalari olusturmustur. Arastirmanin orneklemine cocuklari bagimsiz anaokuluna devam eden 50 anne, 50 baba dahil edilmistir. Arastirmaya dahil edilen anne-babalarin 50’si deney grubunu (25 anne, 25 baba), 50’si kontrol grubunu (25 anne, 25 baba) olusturmustur. Arastirmada anne baba egitiminin bes-alti yas cocuga sahip anne-babalarin cocuk yetistirme tutum ve davranislarina etkisini belirlemek amaciyla on test-son test-kalicilik testi kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanilmistir. Deney grubundaki anne babalarin egitim ihtiyaclari belirlendikten sonra 12 hafta boyunca, haftada bir gun 1-2 saat sureyle anne baba egitimi verilmistir. Deney ve kontrol grubundaki anne ve babalara on test ve son test olarak Ogretmen Olarak Anne Baba Envanteri (Parent As A Teacher Inventory-PAAT) Turkceye uyarlanarak uygulanmistir. Arastirmada deneysel islemden elde edilen verilerin analizinde bagimsiz gruplar t testi, bagimli (esli) gruplar t testi ve Karisik Olcumler Icin 2X2 ANOVA teknigi kullanilmistir. Arastirma sonucunda, deney ve kontrol grubundaki anne-babalarin Ogretmen Olarak Anne Baba Envanteri’nin (Parent As A Teacher Inventory-PAAT) yaraticilik, hayal kirikligi, disiplin, oyun, ogretme/ogrenme alt boyutlari ve toplam son test puanlari acisindan anlamli farklilik elde edilmistir (p<.01). Abstract This study aims to investigate effects of applied parent education programme on the parents who have got five-six years old children and received parent education which is about developmental areas of children, characteristcs of behaviours, behaviours and way of behaving about children rearing of parents with parent-child comunication subjects. The population of the study consisted of parents of five-six years old children who were attending the kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Adana during the 2008-2009 academic year. The sample included 100 parents (50 mothers and 50 fathers) who have got five-six years old children and their’s children take education at kindergarten. Of the parent who participated in the study, 50 constituted the experimental group (25 mother, 25 father) and the remaining 50 constituted the control group (25 mother, 25 father). In order to identify the effects of parent education which is about developmental areas of children, characteristcs of behaviours, behaviours and way of behaving about children rearing of parents with parent-child comunication subjects, on parents who have got five-six years old children, the pretest-posttest-retention test experimental design was used. First, It was identified that education needs of parents who is experimental group. After parent education programme was applied to the parents who is experimental group. The programme took place once a week and one or two hours for 12 weeks. Parent As A Teacher Inventory (PAAT) was used as pre and post test to assess parents knowledge levels about child development and education; and the Parent As A Teacher Inventory (PAAT) was adapted to Turkish and used. Data obtained from the experiment were analyzed by using to independent samples t-test, paired samples t-test and two-way ANOVA for mixed measures. The results revealed a meaningful difference between creative, frustrating, control, play, teaching/learning scores which is dimensions of Parent As A Teacher Inventory (PAAT) and Parent As A Teacher Inventory (PAAT) total scores of experimental and control group parents (p<.01).
