Abstract

Laser ablation gives a appropiate method for processing of a wide variety of solids materials. Laser ablation of a graphite target has proved to be the most appropriated method for novel materials preparation of carbon compounds like fullerenes, single wall nanotubes, and thin films diamond like carbon (DLC) and so on. However, for the production thin films of high quality with unique characteristic, is desirable to know the composition and particles energies that are deposited and understand the mechanics that produce these particles. We use Optical Emission spectroscopy for obtain information about the plasma parameters, as well the processes that carry out into the plasma for different ambient gas pressure.
