Abstract

It was aimed in this work the analysis of the structure and the reproduction of the “acai” palm populations at the estuary of the municipality of Mazagao - AP. Five parcels of 1ha were used, subdivided in 50 parcels of 200m 2 . All of the individuals with CAP ³ 10cm, and at least 3 meters of height were measured and classified in size classes. The data were typed in the software Excel. Measures of central tendency and dispersion were analyzed using the software BIOSTAT. It was registered 545 acai palm trees ( Euterpe oleracea Mart.) with 1.934 plants and 3.474 rebrotations. The circunference values presented larger number of individuals among 15,1cm to 30cm, assuming 58% of the total sampling, the largest amarit at individuals were. The multiple stems average in each parcel was 109 with 386, 8 plants and 694, 8 rebrotations for the five worked areas. Keywords: estuary Amazonian; riverine; acai palms.

Introduction

It was aimed in this work the analysis of the structure and the reproduction of the “açai” palm populations at the estuary of the municipality of Mazagão - AP. As áreas estudadas apresentaram características semelhantes em relação à população de plantas, dado a estrutura de plantas de açaizeiros por hectare, sua distribuição em altura, circunferência e perfilhos em áreas de várzea não manejadas (Tab. 1).
