Abstract

The objective of this study was to conduct a discursive analysis of the theme of health promotion considering the corpus of the website of the Academy Program of the City of Belo Horizonte / MG and the discourse of Physical Education professionals and users linked to it. The research is characterized as qualitative, descriptive, of the case study type. For the interpretation of the information we adopted the sociocognitive approach of the discourse. We identified the adoption of the biomedical conception of health, both in the discourse contained in the corpus analyzed and in the interviewees. We conclude that there is a hegemonic discourse on health promotion that guides the social representation built on the theme.
