Abstract

This study aims to compare some risk analysis tools that have recently been developed for application in Preliminary Hazard Analysis. The comparison is made between risk classification currently used in risk analysis and new classification of risk levels which aims to minimize or eliminate errors or misleading to characterize the risks of accidents and help in decision for preventive and/or corrective actions and the work involves anapplication of the Preliminary Hazard Analysis at different companies, using both methods. After completion of PHA’s a comparison is made between the results presented by the evaluators and then there is a check of the results, concluding then that the new method of risk classification is effective in its proposed different interpretations of risk level evaluated for the same activities. Finally, this work is carried out an analysis of the PES-2010 software, which aims to allow insertion of data analysis in the field.
