Abstract

Purpose: Patients with congenital pseudoarthrosis of the fibula (CPF) may develop progressive ankle valgus due to fibular discontinuity. Management of ankle alignment in patients with CPF is difficult and concern has been raised regarding the ability to form a tibiofibular synostosis and the implications this synostosis has on ankle alignment.
