Abstract

This study investigates Erasmus coordinators’ views on positive effects, experienced difficulties and suggestions for solutions regarding Erasmus programme. In this case study, the participants of the study are 10 Erasmus coordinators working at different faculties of Ankara University. Data collected from structured interview form, developed by researchers, were analysed through document analysis. Cultural integration, gaining global views and individual experiences are mostly stressed positive effects of the programme by coordinators. In terms of difficulties in the implementation of the programme, limited number of English courses and language barriers were mostly stressed. For more effective use oft he Erasmus programme coordinators suggested to provide languagesupport (both for lecturers and students) and revise student selection procedures (with adding interview).
