Abstract

Rock anisotropy of magnetic remanence refers to anisotropy of anhysteretic remanence and anisotropy of isothermal remanence, which are recently developed techniques for rock fabric study. They are more clear and definite to show the deformation and dislocation of magnetic carriers in rocks than conventional anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility. The concept of anhysteretic remanence and the method to measure its anisotropy are introduced. One case study was cited to show the application in Jiangshan-Shaoxing collisional zone.
