Abstract
Abstract Compton scattering from vanadium single crystals has been measured along the [100], [110] and [111] directions using 412 keV gamma radiation from 198Au sources. The Compton profile anisotropies, measured in two laboratories, are reported and compared with the predictions of band theory. The experimental results are in good mutual agreement, but there are significant differences from the theory, the calculated anisotropies being generally larger than those observed.
