Abstract

A laterality bias in the development of amblyopia has been reported, with the left eye being affected more frequently. Possible explanations proposed for this include laterality in the development of anisometropia, microtropia, or ocular dominance. The present study evaluates the laterality of amblyogenic anisometropia in the Multi-Ethnic Pediatric Eye Disease Study (MEPEDS).
