Abstract
Abstract Six-membered cyclic thiocarbonate derivatives, 5,5-(bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-en-5,5-ylidene)-1,3-dioxane-2-thione (1) and 5,5-(bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-5,5-ylidene)-1,3-dioxane-2-thione (2) underwent anionic ring-opening polymerization initiated by 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]-7-undecene (DBU) to afford polythiocarbonates accompanying 12.3 and 12.6% volume expansion, respectively.
