Abstract

The elution of organica acids from anion exchange columsn with sodium acetate solution at elevated temperatures was studied. In most systems very little can be gained by working at elevated temperatures when using a resin of low particle size. In some separatins the decreased selectivity seriously affects the result. With aldonic acids an interfering epimerization can be detected even at 60°, and with uronic acids serious destruction occurs at this temperature.
