Abstract
AbstractTwo metal complexes [Zn2(BTE)2Cl4](1a) and [Zn(BTEE)Cl2](1b) and two coordination polymers [Zn(BTE)2(NO3)2]n (2) and {[Zn(BTE)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2·2H2O}n (3·2H2O, abbreviated in 3) constructed from two structurally related ligands, 2,2′‐bis(1H‐1,2,4‐triazolyl)ether (BTE) and 2,2′‐bis(1H‐1,2,4‐triazolyl)ethoxyethane (BTEE) have been synthesized. Complexes 1a and 1b display zero‐dimension macrocyclic ring structures, while coordination polymers 2 and 3 exhibit one‐dimension chain and two‐dimension corrugated sheet, respectively. Then, intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions in 1–3 expand those lower dimension structures to extended frameworks.
