Abstract

The tangential component of the friction tensor appearing in a two-dimensional classical description of deep inelastic heavy-ion collisions is modified to account for a sticking limit for the dissipated orbital angular momentum. The influence of this modification on the reaction dynamics in the 86Kr (515 MeV)+166Er reaction is investigated.
