Abstract

The conservation of angular momentum has been studied experimentally in connection with thermomagnetic torque experiments. It has been determined that the outer cylinder experiences a torque equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to that experienced by the inner cylinder. This result implies that the net angular momentum of the system remains constant.
