Abstract

We investigate transmission characteristics in symmetric planar double-ring metamaterials at oblique angles of incidence theoretically. The double-ring microwave metamaterials are used to study resonant response to incident TE electromagnetic wave. The trapped-mode resonant feature results from the excitation of antisymmetric current mode and the quality factor is associated to the angle of incidence.
