Abstract

Angular distributions have been measured for C 12(d, p)C 13, N 14(d, α)C 12 and Al 27(d, α)Mg 25 below E d = 2.0 MeV. The results from the first reaction are explained in terms of overlapping compound nucleus levels and statistical theory is used for the (d, α) reactions. A new form of nitrogen target is described.
