Abstract

The angular distributions of charge particles produced in pp collisions at the CERN ISR have been measured in the c.m. angular region from 30° to 90° at c.m. energies of 21.3, 30.4, 44.3 and 52.2 GeV. We find that within this angular and energy range the c.m. differential cross-sections vary as sin −2θ cm. The corresponding differential cross-sections as a function of 1n tan 1 2 θ cm are flat between 0.0 and 1.3. The data indicate that the 90° cross-sections increase by a factor of 2 between 6 and 53 GeV.
