Abstract

The effects of meson-exchange currents and final-state interactions in angular distributions and polarizations of protons for thed(e, e p)n reaction are investigated in a nonrelativistic approach. Special attention is paid to a certain consistency of the deuteron electromagnetic current with then-p interaction models employed. Kinematic regions for polarization observables accessible to measurements are determined. We discuss the possibility of an experiment to study the longitudinal-transverse interference of the deuteron current components. The calculatedd(e, e p)n cross section are compared with Saclay data.
