Abstract
The ionisation chambers with parallel plates designed and constructed at instituto de Pesquisas Energeticas e Nucleares for the dosimetry of soft X ray fields were studied in relation to their angular dependence between 0 and ±90 o . The objective of this study was to verify the chamber's response variation for small positioning errors during the field dosimetry used in radiotherapy. The results were compared with those of commercial parallel-plate ionisation chambers used as secondary and tertiary standards
