Abstract

Ll, Lα, Lβ and Lγ X-ray differential cross-sections, fluorescence cross-sections and L i -subshell ( σ L 1 , σ L 2 , and σ L 3 ) fluorescence cross-sections were measured for Er, Ta, W, Au, Hg and Tl at an excitation energy of 59.6 keV using a Si(Li) detector. The differential cross-sections for these elements have been measured at different angles varying from 54° to 153° at intervals of 9°. The Ll and Lα groups in the L X-ray lines are found to be spatially anisotropic, while those in the Lβ and Lγ peaks are isotropic. Experimental and theoretical values of L X-ray fluorescence cross-sections and L i -subshell X-ray fluorescence cross-sections were compared.
