Abstract

The 34S(d, pγ) 35S reaction has been used to populate levels in 35S. Particle-γ angular-correlation measurements have been performed for energy levels up to 3 MeV excitation energy. Restrictions on possible spin assignments and multipole-mixing ratios are deduced. The γ-ray decay of higher excited states in 35S has been studied with the 37Cl(d, αγ) 35S reaction. A previously unobserved level has been located with an excitation energy of 3821 keV.
