Abstract

Angle-resolved photoelectron energy distributions have been measured for uhv cleaved GaAs crystals. Structures in these spectra are ascribed to emission from surface states. Dispersion and symmetry behaviour of these structures are compared with the results of recent surface band structure calculations.
