Abstract

The lowest-energy satellite bands accompanying the O 1s mainline of CO 2 molecule have been investigated, using angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy. The measurements were carried out at beamline 27 at SPring-8 in Japan with a high-resolution electron spectroscopy apparatus consisting of a hemispherical energy analyzer (SES-2002) combined with a gas cell. We found that the internal inelastic scattering is significant while the conjugate shake-up plays its role as well.
