Abstract

In electronically scanned, phased array radar, used for digitalized beam steering (known as digital beamforming) technique, allows execution of Array Signal Processing (ASP) algorithms. Adaptive Beam Forming (ABF) is such an algorithm for creating various real-time beams, adaptive processing, estimating perfect angle and clampdown the jammer. This research presents the adaptive invention of the monopulse ratio estimation in subarray level for uses including multiple snapshots of phased array data. This paper has proposed the fast and accurate direction estimation algorithm of monopulse ratio in this paper. The adaptive sum and difference beams are obtained at subarray level to cancel several jammers. From the ‘S’ curve, plotted by the ratio of difference and sum, the exact location of target is determined. In adaptive beamforming, beam pattern distortion by side lobe as well as main lobe is faced. This paper has presented to maintain the shape of sum and delta beam pattern, so that the monopulse curve which have chosen previously can localize the target precisely. With low cost and more facility digital beamforming at subarray level used.
