Method:To this end, we selected 124 children from 9 year old. Hormone levels were determined by enzyme immunoassay technique in saliva samples. Anger and its control were evaluated through the STAXI-NA, and impulsivity across the MFFT-20. Results: The variance analysis found that subjects with low testosterone levels were more anger state that subjects with high testosterone. The gender was not significant with respect to this association. With regard to anger trait, the variance analysis showed an interactive effect of gender and hormone levels (testosterone and androstenedione). Further analysis showed that boys with high levels of androstenedione and high levels of testosterone had a greater control of anger expression. There was no significance in relation to the association androgens-impulsivity. Conclusion:It is suggested that in 9 year old boys, high androgen levels are more related with dominance than with aggression. Dominant subjects might have greater control of anger, which would facilitate the use of more subtle strategies for the attainment of resources.
